  2. Remove or limit sugar and starch intake as this disrupts blood sugar balance leading to fat storage, particularly around your middle.

  3. Stay Hydrated: Drinking an adequate amount of water is crucial for overall health and hormone balance (as well as replenishing water losses through flushing). Aim to drink at least eight glasses of water a day and swap caffeinated drinks for decaf herbal teas.

  4. Prioritize Protein: Protein is essential for hormone production and can help you feel full and satisfied. Include sources of protein in every meal, such as eggs, chicken, fish, tofu, or beans, lentils and nuts.

  5. Manage Stress: Chronic stress can disrupt hormone balance and lead to fat storage. Incorporate stress-reducing practices into your daily routine, such as meditation, yoga, or deep breathing exercises.

  6. Get Adequate Sleep: Lack of sleep can disrupt hormone levels, particularly cortisol and insulin, which can impact weight management. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night to support overall hormone balance.

  7. Stay Active: Regular exercise is key for maintaining a healthy weight and supporting hormone balance. Aim for resistance training, body strengthening and some regular exercise in nature each week, such as brisk walking or cycling.
